Below is a list of the Microsoft products that we use at Real Time Networking, Inc.

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
looks polished before you even install it. The printed instructions contained clear illustrations for connecting your PC to a variety of display types, along with details explaining how to connect the PC to wired or wireless networks and add set-top Media Center Extender devices into the mix.

Windows XP Professional
is the operating system release that unifies the Microsoft range, with all the desktop versions now built on the NT/2000 code base rather than the shakier foundation of Windows 95, 98, and Me. That makes XP a great upgrade for users of the now-obsolete 9x and Me line, but for those already on Windows 2000 Professional it is a closer call. Despite the similar name, there is no special synergy between Windows XP and Office XP, which works fine on Windows 2000.

With Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2
you get safer browsing and communication, powerful security tools, and improved experiences. Packed with multimedia features, Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 aims to unlock the full potential of your personal computer. It also looks great, with rounded window corners, larger and more detailed icons, and a clean-look desktop.

Windows Millennium Edition
Microsoft raises the bar a bit with a new operating system that you'll certainly want to consider for your next new PC. While this version will probably not be a compelling upgrade for most Windows 95/98 users, the newest member of the Windows operating-system family bundles a number of minor improvements aimed at making computing life easier for home users.

Windows 200 Professional
With its responsive user interface and improved reliability, Windows 2000 Professional is truly the most appealing version yet of Microsoft's operating system. Provided you have the hardware to run it (at least 64 MB of RAM is required), you won't find a better, more serious OS for business computing.

Windows 98 Se
If you have an old computer or want to use certain old applications - especially DOS-based applications, Windows 98 SE is probably your best bet. If you decide to get Windows 98, be sure to visit windowsupdate.com one of the first things you do, if you plan to go on the internet with the old computer at all. The fixes there should also improve some stability issues with this operating system. Also, be aware that Microsoft is discontinuing support in June 2006 (though forums elsewhere on the net and knowledge base articles will still be available).

Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
—a new Microsoft operating system—paves the way for one of the most versatile computing experience ever. Tablet PC's mobility combines with ink and speech tools to let you take your PC to many more places, and to use it in many new ways.

Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2
supports a maximum of 75 users or devices. The computer running Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 should be in the Intel Pentium/Celeron family or the AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family or have a compatible processor. Both editions support up to two CPUs on one server.

Microsoft Office XP
introduces several features that utilize the vast infosphere inhabited by the 21st-century desk jockey. Smart tags beckon underneath recognized objects like misspellings or symbols, offering a stock quote here, a synonym there, or "Would anyone care to configure my auto-correction list?" The task pane looks similar to Microsoft Internet Explorer's Explorer Bar, and acts like an open tool chest pulled up alongside each application in the suite, providing readily configured searches for information or multimedia files. Putting up a team Web site that tracks projects and serves as an information hub requires only the use of one of the included templates, ready to be customized and uploaded to the server.

Microsoft Office 97
is the ultimate suite software package providing the most important applications for today's businesses - Microsoft Word 97 Excel 97 Access 97 PowerPoint 97 and the new Outlook 97.

Microsoft Office Outlook XP/2003
provides an integrated solution for managing and organizing e-mail messages, schedules, tasks, notes, contacts, and other information. Outlook 2003 delivers innovations you can use to manage your communications, organize your work, and work better with others—all from one place.

Microsoft Office Word XP/2003
the latest version of the best-selling word processor, takes customer experience and feedback to deliver innovations you can use to create impressive-looking documents and help you work better with others.

Microsoft Office FrontPage XP/2003
provides the features, flexibility, and functionality to help you build better Web sites. It includes the professional design, authoring, data, and publishing tools needed to create dynamic and sophisticated Web sites. FrontPage 2003 advances your Web development in three key areas.

Microsoft Office Excel XP/2003
enables you to turn data into information with powerful tools to analyze, communicate, and share results. Excel 2003 can help you work better in teams, and help protect and control access to your work. In addition, you can work with industry-standard Extensible Markup Language (XML) data to make it easier to connect to business processes.

Microsoft Office Access XP/2003
provides a powerful set of tools that are sophisticated enough for professional developers, yet easy to learn for new users. Create or use powerful database solutions that make organizing, accessing, and sharing information easier than ever.

Microsoft Office Publisher XP/2003
Keeping in touch and communicating with customers is essential for any business. A complete business publishing and marketing materials solution, Publisher 2003 can help you reach out to customers. With Publisher 2003, it's easier than ever to design, create, and publish professional marketing and communication materials in-house.
